Those that have the virus will catch COVID-19. Small droplets from the nose or mouth that occur when a person with COVID-19 coughs or exhales may spread the disease from person to person. Those droplets land around the person on objects and surfaces. Others then capture COVID-19 by touching certain objects or surfaces and then rubbing their eyes, nose or mouth. People may also catch COVID-19 if a person with COVID-19 who coughs out or exhales droplets is breathing droplets in. That's why it's important to stay away from a sick person by more than 1 meter (3 feet).
